.. a place to expel much of the excesses and inbetween areas of image making.. the studio, the sketch, the plans, writings and notes, influences, living conditions, sketchbooks, readings and so on.

Born in Britain, spending around 8 years in the desert of New Mexico. In the Uk I studied Fine Art (BA) at the London University of the Arts and then recently at Glasgow School of Art (MFA). The other real calling for me has been to travel, to cover long distances, to just stop when everything looks different. Something I think I could easily do for a lifetime, as a nomad- for example recently after a three month arts residency in Florence I rode a newly acquired scooter across the Alps back to England in January. Yet, in contrast, the studio abode has become a very important internal place (and it is still a place of travel nonetheless).
